Just read the newest experience about the Fallen Angels. They basically confirm that the Devil was once Samael, the angel who passed through Egypt. I wasn't too sure after Sentinel reffered to him as such in the episode but this confirms it.
me neither, in fact I think I have to rewatch the episode at least a second time to capture all the details (I usually do so when updating characters' Throughout the Salem series).
I hope it's useful to some of you having Salem Experience here on Salem Wiki, because I seem to remember that the official website doesn't work in every locations (especially videos).
where is pregnant anne? what is the name of the video? i cannot find anything other than m.manson behind the scenes!
to see anne expose her pregnant belly you will need to go to wgn america's website. they have a special effects video of season three with a quickshot of her pregnant
Fantastic episode.
Kudos to Cotton for expelling Brown Jenkins, especially for doing so right under Sebastian's nose. He's bound to end up paying for it sooner or later, especially if Hope Mather is on the way, but it was a brave attempt, and very well executed.
The scene at the end with Isaac and the little girl was lovely. Does anybody else think that she might be Isaac's guardian angel? She sounded very wise and mature when she told him that his F stood for Fearless, and if any character deserves a guardian angel, Isaac does.
I did not see Mary losing her magic coming. I thought that the goal of the prison box would be to break her mentally and emotionally in order to bring her back under the Devil's sway.
I wonder, however, if the Devil may have overplayed his hand, or potentially played into the hands of the Essex hive. Mary is supposed to be the only one who can kill him and he has just freely given up his hold over her. He no longer has a claim to her soul. Maybe this is a necessary step for her to be able to kill him, that being his mother wouldn't be enough as long as he still had a hold over her, and that the Essex hive sent Mary up against him knowing that she would be discovered and that he would break their contract in punishment.
Finally, I'm quite glad to have it clarified that Mary had power over all four elements.
is that an elemental power? i can see the devil inadvertly freeing mary's soul from the contract but i like to think he's not so stupid! i have only heard of one more elemantal power spirit and/or metal but that is not the same as a soul because obviously not only witches have one!
If he left Mary alive is because he needs her / wants her as repeated several times. Although she's no longer a witch, Mary is still the woman who gave birth to the vessel, then betrothed for the unholy union. Don't think the Devil release the soul unintentionally, he explicitly declared the contract "null and void". If the contract is no more, in my opinion this means that the two sides have regained what they had exchanged with the pact.
As for Mary and John Alden, I don't think there is something to worry about since they are meant to be / end game / fairytale lovestory/ whatever. Surely the laws of Heaven and Hell will bow to their love...
True, the Devil was quite adamant that Mary's role as his bride/Queen is not one that somebody else can fill. I doubt that he has given up on the idea, especially if it will cement his power.
