New on The Salem Wiki
Concurrently with the anniversary of Salem's premiere, which took place April 20th, 2014, Salem Wikia will host a weekly rewatch of the whole series, starting exactly on the day of the anniversary.
For anyone wishing to participate the Salem Rewatch with us, it will be possible to comment every episode in a special thread, which will be moderated by ReganX (event organizer) and myself. Just as we did for Episode Discussions in the past year, threads will be created weekly and open to comments until the next episode, or even later if you were not able to catch up with the episode.
Please, note: Be sure to read the masterpost about "Salem rewatch" written by ReganX, and attached "What Ifs" master-list where, from time to time, we will have fun thinking of any changes in the plot, alternatives and original ideas that could have been made to the series.
For any information please feel free to contact us in the message wall.
PS. Just as it happened during television broadcast, Salem Rewatch will be accompanied by a notice on the Homepage so that you can keep up with the weekly episode.
Just Updated
Episode pages have undergone a small upgrade. Now you will have access to transcripts of each episode right from the episode page in question in a navbox place high up in the page, without having to search for it in the search box (before you had to search for the subpage, maybe not even knowing there was one, ie. The Stone Child/Transcript).
I hope this new option will be pleasing to you.
The homepage of Salem Wiki has been updated with new poll, featured article and imagee, as well as latest episodes and season. I hope you enjoy it!
Recently I created a new forum board for conversations about Salem episodes where we can weekly or even real-time commenting on season three episodes.
Doing so is very simple: every week I will cover to open a thread named "S03 [Episode title] discussion" where everyone can comment on the events of the episode in question, draw up lists of things liked and disliked etc. In these weekly topics, you can also insert spoilers (for example, if commenting in real-time) because these threads are specifically created for episode commenting and it's almost impossible to accidentally read a spoiler as can happen in regular pages as if you are taking part to a forum conversation, you are willingly accepting to read everything about a certain episode, whether you have watched it or not. Writing spoilers, however, is not recommended to do in the comment section of episodes pages before at least 48 hours from airing are passed, for give a chance to catch up to those who do not live in America or may not be able to watch it for whatever reason. Same as updating deaths and major plot twists in such span of time (see Spoilers for further informations).
The usefulness of this forum board is, therefore, to allow those who have watched the episode to comment when more it pleases without having to meet the rule of 48 hours. If you have questions or suggestions about it, please let me know!
Dear users, a service notice.
These days, probably due to upgrades of Wikia operative system, Visual Editor is causing problems during the editing not allowing the proper insertion of templates or crashing, distorting the page code resulting in a gibberish of sections and broken tables.
I had the unpleasant evidence of it while trying to update Season Two page's Gallery, finding myself forced to undo several of my recent editing before finding the source of the problem.
If you are having problems in editing pages, this is probably one of the reasons.
A workaround to this problem is to use the ClassicEditor, which is slightly more difficult to use, but with a bit of attention should not cause extreme difficulties. If you also have problems with Classic Editor or do not know how to use it I will give you directions and tutorials about. Just let me know about it by posting your comments here or in my profile Message Wall.
Thank you!
Recently I noticed fanon pages poping up on the wiki. I ask that you not create a page unless it is actually relevant to the show. Since this wiki only covers stuff that is canon.
I've also seen pages were people have changed the layout of a page by adding sections etc. Before you make such changes you should ask or notify me so the wiki can have a consistent look.
Thank you :)
